- General Principles
The principles set forth in this document are intended to safeguard and preserve the
security of Ventus Networks and its associated partners and customers. Use of
Ventus Networks’ router hardware by employees, customers, third party vendors,
merchants, providers, and/or any other associated entity is encouraged for business
purposes that do not compromise any related or associated entity’s Security Policy,
including Ventus Networks’. The use of Ventus Networks Routers (wired and non-wired)
will be used in a manner consistent with Ventus’ security standards set forth in the
Ventus Security Policy and this document.
- Direct access to the console of the router is strictly prohibited unless express permission is granted by a Ventus employee authorized to do so.
- Attempts to connect to the console of the router are tracked and monitored. Ventus reserves the right to terminate service at any point if any attempts to connect to the console are made without express permission from Ventus is granted.
- Wired and Non-wired routers are intended to be physically connected to ATMs and/or Ventus approved hardware.
- Network traffic is intended to be passed from equipment attached to the router, through Ventus’ network, to its intended destination only.
- No traffic is to be directed to any destination for illicit or harmful purposes such data harvesting, Denial of Service attacks, Network Flooding, or any other non-business intended purpose.
- Ventus reserves the right to terminate any connection that compromises any Ventus Security Policy or Acceptable Use Policy.
- Opening or examining of any Ventus hardware is strictly prohibited. Doing so will void any warranty associated with the equipment and may be subject to service termination.
- The use of non Ventus provided equipment, such as power supplies, antennae, cables, batteries, or any other equipment that is attached in any way to the equipment, is strictly prohibited and will void any warranty.
- Sharing or lending of any Ventus hardware is prohibited unless otherwise specified by written Ventus consent, and may be subject to service termination at any moment.
- Users shall not:
- Attempt to connect directly to the router’s console.
- Open or examine any Ventus hardware.
- Use the service and network provided by Ventus for illicit or harmful purposes.
- Lend or share any Ventus piece of hardware.
- Attach any non-Ventus approved equipment unless express, written consent from Ventus is provided.
- Attach any non-provided equipment to Ventus Hardware such as power supplies, antennae, cables, batteries, etc.
